Megan is 4 today.

In someways, for me, it feels anticlimactic. For months I have been saying that she is almost 4, rather than 3 and 3/4. But for Megan it has been powerful.

Big 4 year old get out of bed by themselves, and they drink from regular cups (not sippy cups) and a host of other things.

But 4 year olds do still wear pull ups. That was almost a crisis. For most of May, Megan was telling me that she didn't want to change numbers when it was her birthday. It took me a while, but I finally managed to pry out of her that she thought that she wouldn't be able to wear her pull ups when she was four. (My fault, I thought I could set a deadline.) Once she was promised that the pull ups could stay, it was full speed ahead.

But even with pull ups, I think I'm going to like 4. I think Megan already does.
