We are back from California. We were in Silicon Valley for just over a week and I loved it. Seriously loved it. Tried to convince Bryan to move loved it.
Even after a year, New York does not feel like home. Yes, I have mastered the various river parkways. I know how to get to both Targets and can expound on their various virtues (free parking and Starbucks vs. better neighborhood and walking distance to the bank) but when I think about how I could spend the rest of my life here, I get a little sad.
I find as I drive around, I am missing the wide open sky and the brown mountains on the horizon.
