This year we scheduled to be back East on Christmas day, but we didn't want the kids to miss out on Christmas at home, so we decided to have our California Christmas a week early.
We did the whole works - get up early, picture at the top of the stairs, fire, opening stockings and presents, cinnamon rolls. It was great. The kids had lots of fun, with at least two more Christmases to come.
