Tonight Megan and I went to Math Night at her school. It was pretty cool, there were lots of tables set up with interesting workbooks and mathy things to do, and an estimation table where you had to guess how many things were in a bunch of containers. If you finished your work (which Megan did), you got a little bag of pretend money that you could spend on a long table of geegaws. That of course was a math problem in itself, as you had to determine if you could afford what you wanted to buy, and how much you would have left for other things. Megan, being the great sister she is, got about equal amounts of stuff for herself and Riley. Here she is at the end, picking out her trinkets:
