After some searching we found a nice tree. It was actually quite tall, but I assumed I could trim it down once we got it home. After getting it home, and confirming it was too tall, I proceeded to trim about a foot off the top. Unfortunately, after trimming a few branches off the bottom to fit in the stand, we discovered a big hole in the coverage on the bottom. I had to cut another foot off the bottom to fix this, so in the end it wound up being more short and cylindrical than tall and conical. It still made a good tree, however.
Megan also discovered that the tree was seven years old, just like her!
