Poison Control

Gavin has become quite adept as using the stool recently. Whenever he finds himself vertically challenged, he just drags one out and solves his problem. We haven't quite incorporated this fact into our daily routine, and as a consequence we had two call poison control twice the week.

The first time I found him with the mouthwash, looking rather surprised as he had soaked himself with it while he drank it. The poison control guy told me that alcohol was the concern there, and we should watch out for barfing and sleepiness for the next hour. He was fine.

The second time I found him with a bottle of children's acetaminophen. It was grape flavored and he seemed to be enjoying himself, with a big purple grin. Poison control said the problem there is the potential for liver damage, but apparently the dosage per pill is low enough that he could have eaten the whole bottle without much concern.

Poison control is great.

By the way, if you ever need the number for poison control, you can just google it.
