Maura lucked out this week. They turned off the power at her school from Wednesday to Friday to do some construction, so she got an unexpected vacation. I took off Wednesday as well, and we brought the kids up to go on the Jelly Belly jelly bean factory tour.
The tour was a lot of fun - we got to see all the steps in the process, and at the end they gave us some complimentary jellybeans. We also wound up buying 12 pounds of what they call "belly flops" - jelly beans that don't pass their quality control process. It's a lot, but it was buy 6 pounds get 6 pounds free, and we got caught up in the moment. We're trying to think of clever ways to add them to all our meals.
