On our list of things to do before leaving New York was seeing the Statue of Liberty. Since 11 September, visiting the statue itself is not as simple as it used to be. There are a
couple of security screenings that you must go through and you can't go inside the statue.
So Bryan and I elected to do a drive by, or rather a sail by. We took the (free) Staten Island Ferry which offers a great views of the Lady, coming and going.
So we can check off State of Liberty off our list, for now. I think we will have to make another visit when the kids are older.
