Gavin's Blackened Toe

Gavin dropped a pot on his toe this morning. This is the result:

HE cried a bit after it happend and then was fine. I didn't notice anything more at the time, because he was wearing footie pajamas.  But when I took off the PJs to put on his day clothes, my first thought was, "Gee, I don't remember painting his toenail."

The color is eerily simular to the grey-lavender shade I picked for my pedicure last month.

We had a quick trip to the the doctor's office to make sure that Gavin's toe wasn't broken or that the nail didn't need to be pierced (to relive the pressure of the bruise underneath.)  Our Dr. K doesn't work on Fridays anymore, so one of her colleagues squeezed us in. Oddly enough, he is also a Dr. K.  (It is getting a little weird how all of the children's doctors have surnames that start with K.)

Anyway, Gavin should be fine.  His toe isn't broken and the the bleeding under the nail doesn't seem to be causing pressure.  I'm seriously think about buying him a cage.
