Today I went to fill out the paperwork to enroll Megan in her new school. As the administrator guided me through the mountain of paper work we came across the "Things to send in with your child" check list.
Item number 1, an earthquake bag of water and food. Just in case your child gets trapped at the school for several days due to impassible piles of rubble.
And then, almost but not quite as bad, the administrator really didn't understand what a blizzard was. (I brought up blizzards a my closest analog to an earthquake.)
And the coup de grace: while in Target, to buy supplies for the earthquake back, I discovered that you can buy wine in Target. At Target! Is no where safe?
