...Urgent Care. Megan woke up with ear pain in the middle of the night. Riley woke up and could barely breath. We got through the night and raced off to Urgent Care in the morning, with the Turkey still resting on the counter. I am so glad that it was open and they were able to see us quickly.
...24 hour pharmacies. Our stay at Urgent Care left us with a pile of prescriptions for the kids. Thank you to all to the over worked pharmacists at Walgreens.
...Patient and understanding friends. Raphen and Jiaying are troopers and true friends. Not only did they agree to let us do Thanksgiving at our (barely unpacked) house, they took the phone call about the possible delay like old pros. You would think their daughter was 6 instead of barely 6 months. Although I do suspect that Jiaying regretted leaving the turkey and the parsley at our house. :)
...Relatively healthy children. Yes, Riley is a lung case and Megan has green mucus coming out all over the place (infected tear ducts, tasty.) But it is all treatable. Despite the drama of the morning, you would barely know that they were sick at the end of the day.
