Notes from the ENT V

We got the call today.  Megan's surgery is scheduled for 8a.m. on 1 February.  Which is weeks sooner than I thought it would be.

She will have to be NPO from midnight on, which may be a challenge.  We were talking about her operation and I told her that she would have to skip breakfast and she burst into tears.  And I think I need to find a book so we can talk about the gown and the room and all of the people.

It is weird, she has had surgery two times before (at 18 and 30 months) but in a way it is like the first time, because now she understands.
