Thanksgiving 2009

This year, I took a pass on preparing Thanksgiving and accepted my cousin Dorain's invitation to eat at their house. And while I miss the leftovers, it was so nice not to cook.

Dorian lives a little over an hour north of us. The drive was mostly uneventful. Megan didn't throw up, by when we arrived, we discovered that Riley had had a small accident while he napped in the car. He ended up just wearing his PJ bottoms for the whole visit.

Megan and Courtney had a blast together. When we were pulling up to their house, I ask Bryan to double check the address. He replied that there was no need - Courtney was out the front door as soon as she saw out car pull near the curb.

I didn't actually see much of my children during the visit. Megan and Riley went off to play with their cousins (and their cousins' cousin) and between Dorrie and her sister-in-law, Gavin often disappeared for long stretches of time.

I was so preoccupied by the novelty of Adult conversaion, that I forgot to take many pictures. Here are the few that I captured. We tried to get a cousins picture at the end of the evening, but Riley was not in the mode to get his picture taken. The two little girls on the other hand wished I would have taken more.
