Roaring Camp Railroad

On Jeff's penultimate weekend in California we took everyone to Roaring Camp Railroad, a narrow-gauge steam train that winds through a redwood forest, about an hour south of us. We raced to get there, and arrived in the nick of time - the train pulled into the station just a few minutes later. The ride itself was great, the route climbs up a hill in the Santa Cruz Big Trees park. We went back and forth on a few switchbacks on a pretty steep grade before reaching the top. The ride back down was just as fun, and we hung out in the faux town for a while, taking pictures and eating ice cream, before heading back home.
