Megan's Big Girl Bed

Yesterday Bryan picked up a new bed for Megan. She was still sleeping in her toddler bed. And although she still technically fit, it was getting a little small for her. For the past two weeks, she has preferred sleeping on the floor to sleeping in her bed.

For a month now I have been combing Craigslist for a new bedroom set for her. But it wasn't working out. If I found something we liked, someone else always seemed to get there first.So we decided that we would just look for a mattress and worry about the rest of the furniture later.

We were planning to buy a new mattress set, but then we lucked out on the combo above on Craigslist. It used to be someone's guest room, used less than a handful of times. Megan likes the bed a lot. She thinks that the headboard/footboard look like kissy-lips.

We still have to buy bedding as Megan wants a bedding that matches; something she has never had before. Hopefully I can find something to order this week. We also need to get a safety rail for the side. Even when she was sleeping in her toddler bed, she ended up on the floor sometimes. And this bed is much higher off the floor.

But it is exciting to see she reach this milestone. Next up, getting Riley out of the crib.
