No Fluff!

After raisin bread, the next bit of cuisine that we've found you can't seem to get on the west coast is Fluff. I had a hankering for it last weekend, so we went to four different grocery stores in search of it...with no luck. Maybe the health nuts out here don't permit that sort of thing to be around.

The closest we could find was "Jet-Puffed Marshmallow Creme". Personally, the name is a bit too literal for me - I prefer to labor under the delusion that I'm not just eating liquid marshmallows. Plus, it was in the bakery isle instead of with the jellies where it belongs. Lacking a better choice, we got it anyway. After a few test sandwiches, it turns out to be a reasonable substitute, but doesn't have quite the same consistency. The kids like it, though, which I suppose is all that matters.
