This past week has been full of celebrations for the chinese new year. (This is the year of the ox, in case you didn't know.) The picture above is of Riley's class at daycare. He is wearing a red shirt under his blue jacket.At various points through the week, the kids made lanterns to light the way for the new year and both had parades and feasts. There was much wearing of red (to scare away evil spirits and bad luck) and handing out of red envelopes. It was a fun week, and I look forward to next year.
