My parents are visiting and have decided to go to Muir Woods this afternoon. I wanted to go, but Riley really needed a nap and I now that we will have a change to go again when Bryan's parents visit this spring. But they did take Megan with them, at our request. Bryan and I took advantage of the Megan-free afternoon to take down the christmas tree.
And thank goodness we did. The tree was shedding needles like crazy:
I'm glad to have it down. I've discovered that when it is my job to take down the tree (unlike when I was a child), I want the tree down as soon as Christmas is over. (Like at 12:01 am, 26 December.) Bryan is more sentimental and over rides me every year.
Riley was really taken aback when he woke up and the tree was gone. Ever since we got it, he demanded every morning that we turn the lights on it. But we promised him that we could have another next Christmas.
Megan noticed a little when she got back from her trip. But she was more interested in talking about the tree and the silly things that her grump did. She had fun at lot of fun.
