We all went to see a movie yesterday, "The Tale of Despereaux ", which is about a mouse who unusual because he has no fear. This was somewhat ironic, because Megan's first reaction on sitting down was to say she was scared because we were sitting too high up in the theater, and she kept repeating this all through the previews. The theater had stadium-style seating, and we were just one row up from the walkway that divides the regular seats from the crane-your-neck seats closer to the screen.
The whole visit was also a little strange because we were the only ones there. This was a 10:10 AM showing of a movie that's been out for a month, so we weren't expecting a crowd, but I thought someone else would be there.
On the bright side, we didn't have to worry about bothering anyone but ourselves. Half way through the movie Riley was wandering all over the place (he does not appear to possess the separation anxiety gene), trying out different seats. Unfortunately, in his travels he found some gum that someone stuck somewhere. Megan warned us, but I think he got a few chews in before I took it from him. Yuck.
