The day with cards and gifts;c harms for my charm bracelet from the kids and a new cookbook from Bryan, to replaced one of the many that got lost in our move. Megan made a point of telling me that she wouldn't cross out any of the words this year.
I took the day off from work, since working on my birthday makes me cranky and spent the day doing errands. Gavin saw the pediatrician, then we went to Trader Joes, and Costco. And then I picked up the kids early from daycare and took everyone to Whole Foods to buy a cake.
I know that spending one's birthday running errands may sound ... less than fun. But it was such an enjoyable day. Since I went back to work last month, I have struggling to get things done. So today, not only did I get to hang out with Gavin all day (and have a break from pumping) but I got through most of my backlog of errands. Plus the kids and I had fun picking out a cake.
Megan and Riley got a kick out of the fact that my age was a combination of both their ages.
