Riley could barely keep his eyes open by that point and fell asleep quickly, but it look a little while for Megan to settle down. It didn't get too cold overnight, and they both slept pretty well. They were both enthusiastic about it this morning, so we'll have to try to find some time to do it again.

Backyard camping
Last night the kids and I camped out in the backyard. Megan and Riley got to stay up late watching a movie while we waited for it to get dark. After that, we got my backpacking stove working and toasted some marshmallows (there was no good place for a campfire). Finally we all piled into my tent and finished up The Twits before getting into our sleeping bags.
