Home Again, Home Again (Not Lickety Split)

We are back in California again. The trip home was awful. We hit traffic on our way to JFK, so we lost a bunch of time there. I had to get re-ticketed, because JetBlue left off the infant designation on my boarding pass (if there is no infant designation on your ticket, TSA won't let you through security. Because babies are so dangerous.)

And then we hit the security line and wrangled with the TSA over the dry ice (not the breast milk - the screener seemed to the those packets were gel pack to keep the dry ice cold, bizarre). Bryan had to go back and check the cooler. Which leave me with three kids and pushing a stroller filled to the brim with car seats. And I had about 8 minutes to get dinner for everyone before it was boarding time. And there was so much more awfulness, but I just don't want to revisit it.

Once we got on the plan, we were pulled off the runway for almost three hours while we waited out a rouge band of thunderstorms. Gavin did OK on the flight, as did Megan. Riley was awful as usual. He cried and fussed and barely slept.

We didn't get home until 1 am. And Riley didn't want to sleep in his bed because it was "too fuzzy." And was up a couple of other times as well. And got up for the day at 6:30, because "it is sunny out."

Ugh.
