Not on the Phone with Uncle Jeff

My brother jeff has always worked very hard to maintain a relationship with his niece and nephews. Because he has always lived away, it was important to him that my kids know who he was and hope much he cared for them.

Starting when Megan was a baby, he liked to talk to her on the phone. I loved to watch this, because Megan would babble at him unintelligibly, or nod when he asked a question, or grab the phone and run upstairs to "show" him something important to her. Using a telephone is one of those basic life skills that we forget that it is something we learned to do.

These days, Megan won't talk on the phone. Or won't talk long. This video is what it looked like this morning when my brother called. Pay attention to Riley in this video - I think is a stellar example of the utter insanity of living with a three year old.
