Today Gavin starts at Appleseed. Which means that he is in the same building as Riley. This dramatically simplifies drop-off and pick up for the kids. Since I started back at work, on the days that we had childcare for Gavin, Bryan would get all three kids in his car (still the two-door hatchback) and take Riley to daycare, getting all three kids out of the car. Then he would put Megan and Gavin back in the car and take Megan to school, having to take both kids out of the car. Then he would put Gavin back in the car and drive him to daycare. I think he deserves a medal.
I was doing a similar thing in reverse. But for me, I had to drive 20 minutes in the wrong direction to go get Gavin. It took me almost 90 minutes to get all the kids. I'm looking forward to a more normal schedule.
