Today Megan started kindergarten. It was a very successful first day. Megan's kindergarten teacher, Miss W., is very nice and has big plans for this year. There are only 20 kids in her class, at my count 11 boys and 9 girls. Her classroom is right next door to her friend Allison - even at school they are neighbors!
Today was a short day, 8:15 until 9:56. While Megan was in her new classroom, getting her picture taken and drawing a self portrait, Bryan and Riley and I were at a meeting for kindergarten parents. I had forgotten how big poetry in Elementary School circles. I think between the general parents' meeting this morning and meeting this evening with Megan teacher I have been read a half dozen poems.
I think her school is a very nice school and I am excited for this year. I expect that she will continue to blossom and grow at her new school.
