Today we made our way from Arlington to the lake by way of Amherst so I could visit with to my former co-workers. It was good to see the the old gang again. But a little painful too, giving up that job and our life in the valley was so hard.
I try not to think about it too much; when I do I get really annoyed at Bryan and his stupid need to take a the fabulous opportunity his employer offered him. I should have picked someone willing to settle. Anyway, it never gets very far - my getting annoyed with Bryan - because he always reminds me that I was the one who made him apply for the job. So basically it is my own fault that we had to leave.
After we went to Amherst, I dragged the kids around downtown Northampton for a little while. I saw these really neat magnetic dress up dolls on a website a few months ago and I've been wanting to get them for Megan. With all the traveling we will be doing, I though they would be a great activity for her. I don't know where the cool toy stores are in California, but I figured that the toy store in Noho would have them. Alas, they did stock them, but were sold out.
We finally made it to the lake at 6:30. Thankfully we will stay here for a couple weeks. I'm a little worn out with travel.
