For a couple of days now, we have been putting Riley on the potty before his bath at night and in the morning when we change him out of his PJs. And he pees and we get all excited for him and clap.
So today I thought, what the heck, let's start the potty learning thing. But sadly, I ran out of underwear for him by 10 o'clock in the morning. And he doesn't seem to like wearing underwear. So he is back in a diaper now while I go back to the drawing board and make a new plan.
For sure, I need to get more than three pairs of undies. I think I need to get a bigger size, since Riley doesn't seem to like the way that the leg holes feel on his legs (do they make boxers for toddlers?). And I need to have a better plan than just throwing some underwear on him and hoping for the best.
I am definitely in uncharted territory here. Megan was still at daycare when she learned to control her voiding, and I suspect that her teachers did more work in that area than I realize.
