No-Labor Day

Today was a busy day. It started off as all days should, with a light woodworking project involving a nail gun. We had some cleaning people in last week, and they knocked off part of the cabinetry in the downstairs bathroom. I nailed it back on.

Later on in the morning, I took the kids over to "Pump It Up", which is basically bounce-house gymnasium. There were a couple bounce house slides, a bounce house obstacle course, a bounce house play area, and...a bounce house. Their public playtime was from 10 to 11:30, and we were there the whole time. The kids had a blast, and seemingly only slightly winded after 90 minutes of bouncing.

This afternoon we went to another block party. I think in the 10 months since we've been here I've been to more block parties than I attended in my previous 33 years. The kids played around (there were two bounce houses), and we hung out and chatted with a few folks. It was fun.
