I have my job interview tomorrow, so most of my thoughts are on that, so this will be another grab bag post.
I took Riley to doctor so his breathing could be checked. It sounds funny to me, but it is apparently not asthma. We even did a little stress test in the middle of the appointment to make sure - the doctor had me take Riley out into the hall so he could run around. And ironies of ironies, it was the one time that Riley was not in the mood to run around. He wanted to look at the pattern in the carpet. But I finally got him moving and we got the all clear. We are just going to be on watchful waiting for the next couple of days.
Today was my first expereince of what Megan's school calls a "minimum day." Apparently every Wednesday she gets out an hour early so her teachers have extra prep time. I already loathe it. I just do not have room in my brain to deal with a schedule that changes so much. It was close call today, I came very close to forgetting the pick-up time. And there were parents who did forget. I felt bad for the group that was escorted to the office to wait for their errant parents.
We are also having a heat wave out here. It was over 90° this afternoon. And it made me wistful for New England and the promise of fall.
