Bryan and I were both hoping that the extra early rising was just a side effect of our trip back east in April, but we have been back for a month now and I feel like I'm getting up earlier everyday. Somedays I can bring Riley back to our bed and let him nurse while get a little more rest. Neither Riley nor I fall back asleep, but 5:3o is a little easier to handle when you are lying down. On days like today, we just head downstairs. Riley can produce an incredible amount of noise for such a little guy and the last thing I want is two kids awake in the wee hours.
I do remember Megan going through a period of early rising. It lasted about a year. Which I don't think I can deal with again. Every once in a while if fine. You won't believe at all you can do before 10 o'clock if you have 5 a.m. as the starting line. But I need more sleep. So we are going to try put some tin foil on Riley's windows. It will prevent the aliens from reading his thoughts and sunlight from telling his body that it is morning.
Keep your fingers crossed for us.
