Junior Paleontologist

Several months ago Megan asked me if we could ever go digging for dinosaurs. It stuck in my head since then (probably long past when she was really interested in it), and I decided to do something for her birthday. Her favorite dinosaur is the triceratops, so I ordered a wooden model of one just like I had when I was a kid. 

I took about a third of the pieces and buried them in the sandbox, and we spent about 20 minutes digging them up after she opened the present. Later that day we put the model together, and she did seem pretty enthused about it. Now we just need to keep Riley from destroying it.
As a bonus we now have sand for our sandbox...and a lot of sand on the patio.
