Walking Megan to school today, it seemed like every thing was in motion. The tall pines trees and palm tree were swaying, the leaves on the deciduous tree were waving. You could even see ripples in the grass.
It is a little like the winds that I'm used to before a hurricane, but the hint of doom is missing. The sky is blue and clear. There is no moisture in the air. And no one seems to be hurrying to the grocery store to stock up on bread and milk.
The wind is highlighting some deficiencies in the house or more specifically the front door. The there is something a little funky with the latch, so when a strong gust comes by it can actually blow the door open. Three times in the last 24 hours, I have found it blow open. Luckily we live in a safe neighborhood.
