So in my post yesterday, I forgot to say that Riley has asthma. I'm sure it doesn't come as a surprise to family and friends, but at our appointment with Dr. K. yesterday was the first time one of his doctors had applied the label.
I am a little sad to find Riley really does have asthma; I was hoping that he would be spared. I supposed ever parents hopes that their children will be Gattaca-like combinations of only their best DNA. But on the positive side, I know what he is feeling first hand. And I know to take it seriously.
But the good news is that Riley is doing so much better after a day of meds.
