We saw Dr. B today for Megan's post-op checkup. Megan's right ear (where the ventilating tube was) has healed, and the surgical site looks good. There is still a scab there, which will gradually heal and fall away. Megan seems to be able to feel it; she calls it the mucus wall. We get daily, if not hourly reports on the state of the mucus wall.
At the end of our (blessedly) brief visit Dr. B cleared Megan. We are done with otolaryngological services, for the foreseeable future. It is going to be quite strange not to be at the Dr's office all the time. I think between the two children, I never went more than three weeks without an appointment.
