Megan is in the OR now. She will be there for the nest 45 to 60 minutes.
The pre-operative stuff this morning went well. Megan slept until a few minutes before we had to leave, so skipping breakfast wasn't an issue. (Plus, we let her have a bowl of oatmeal before bed, so in some sense she already had breakfast.)
Everyone we have dealt with was been wonderful. I have (yet another) doctor crush on the anesthesiologist. Aside from the fact that he was kind and competent, he is an extra mile type of guy. I told him that Megan really liked purple, so he changed his scrub cap to a purple one, found purple gloves, and sent a nurse to try to find a purple bandage for Megan's IV site post-op. Fabulous.
