We saw the podiatrist today to get Riley's freaky toes checked out. As I mentioned previously, his pinky toes are crooked - they sort of bend sideways. And after further intense scrutiny of Riley's feet, I noticed that his second toe often overlaps his big toe.
The official diagnosis is that Riley has curly toes.
The overlap with the first and second toe should resolve itself as Riley's feet grow. The pinky toes will stay crooked, but won't affect anything but the fit of his shoes. Basically, there is nothing to do but watch. If he has a problem wearing shoes, we can look into surgery. But it shouldn't be a problem as long as we can find roomy shoes for him to wear.

Apparently Kevin has curley toes as well....
That is a relief to hear. Both our pediatrician and the podiatrist said that curly toes were usually genetic. I guess Riley and Kevin have more in common that we knew. :)
