Multicultural Parade

Friday was the final event in multicultural week.  There was a parade around the courtyard to show off native dress followed by a potluck luncheon.

There was some really interesting food to eat.  A great noodle dish from the Philippines and these breadstick things from Turkey.  I also tried a Thai dessert that seemed to be made of jelly slices in sweet milk.  Sadly, all the kids wanted to eat were chicken nuggets.

I managed to make a potluck faux pas by bringing franks and beans.  I've been so used to avoiding pork for our Muslim friends, but around here you are more likely to find people who avoid beef.  Next time I am going to bring chicken.
