Hurrah! No cavities!

I took Megan to the dentist today.  She was due to go in November, but we ran out of time to see Dr. Nancy.  Since I am so tired of finding new doctors, And Nancy T. is a awesome dentist and so good with kids (can I tell you again that Megan was so relaxed with her, she fell asleep while getting a cavity filled!) I had been mulling a plan where we kept Nancy as the kids' dentist.  We visit the east coast a couple of times a year.... if you don't press too hard on the details, it seems a slightly possible.

Luckily for Megan's oral health, CA passed a law in 2006 requiring that Kindergardeners get a dental check up.  Which meant that I actually find a new dentist.  Which I did, for the sake of getting the form filled out. So far I like them.  Megan got to watch a video of a gorilla getting a dental check up before she sat in the chair.  And after she got her teeth cleaned, she got to practice brushing on a monster with a maniacal grin. She totally loved that part.

The dentist found no cavities (thank goodness) and thinks that the tooth pain that Megan feels from time to time is pressure from her adult teeth moving up.  But her baby teeth still have decent roots to them, so it will be at least 6 months before she loses a tooth.  Personally, I think 6 months is too soon.  I so not ready for her to be old enough to loose teeth.

I go back with Riley next week.  Hopefully he is cavity free as well.
