In the past week or so, Gavin has become more like a real baby. He is sleeping a little less, and crying a lot more.
My brother Jeff is visiting right now, having squeezed in a visit between boards and the start of his rotations next week, and he feels a bit mislead. "Where is this mellow baby you wrote about," he said as he handed back an inconsolable Gavin the other night.
I don't mind too much. I'll take the fussiness since it means he is awake more, although I would like him to do something, like smile at me. He is almost 6 weeks old. Being cute and cuddly isn't quite enough anymore.
