New Bathing Suits for Megan

I have been on a mission for the past few weeks to get Megan new bathing suits. It hasn't been easy given the constraints I have been operating under.

Megan wanted a two-piece bathing suit, and she didn't want criss-cross straps (she gets all tangled in them when she is trying to dress). Bryan and I didn't want her to have bathing suit that was styled for a woman, plus we wanted her belly covered. So that eliminated most of the bathing suits right off the bat.

Sadly, Megan has moved out of the safety of the toddler section where clothes are designed for two-year-olds and scaled up. Now she is in the girls section where clothes are designed for teenagers and scaled down. I hate it and if I ruled the world there would be 6T and 7T, maybe even 17T.

But after weeks of combing store and the internet, I discovered the bathing suits at Lands End. They had exactly what we were looking for. And Megan and I drove to Sears today and picked out two. She refused to stop playing to let me take a picture, so you'll have to guess which patterns she picked.

I'm glad to have that item off my list. Next up are bathing suits for Riley and Gavin.
