Cereal Tower

Last week I took Megan on a quick grocery trip after gymnastics.  Mostly to get cereal (and milk), since we had run out at home and it was on sale at Safeway (conveniently located next to the gymnastics place.)  In our house, we seem to go through cereal like we go through milk.  I buy it and then before I know it, its gone.

Bryan has cereal pretty much everyday for breakfast (or rather his first breakfast.) Sometimes the kids have it too, although usually they eat oatmeal.  But they, the kids, snack on cereal through the day.  I've found that it is a good on-the-go snack.  Especially when used with their snack cups.

But it does mean that we go through cereal quickly.  And you my have noticed that cereal keeps getting more expensive (and that the box size is shrinking).  So I like to stock up when it is on sale.  It serves a dual purpose, we save money and I get to not think about buying cereal for a few weeks.

The stack of cereal next to Megan cost about $50 or $2.75 a box.  Being able to build a pile of cereal taller than your kid?  Priceless.
