X-Ray, Take 2

I took Riley into get his follow-up chest X-Ray this afternoon.

This time they didn't use the torture tube, he got to stand on a step stool in front of the plate and I got to stand next to him and hold his arms up.  He did a fabulous job and the whole deal was over in just  few minutes.

I got to see a glimpse of the scan when I went into the booth to collect Megan.  And I promptly gasped in horror that because it looked like Riley only had one lung.

Actually the big blob on top would be his heart, which I did figure out on my own.  Not because I suddenly remembered how the human body is arranged, but because I decided that given all the doctors Riley has seen in his young life, somebody would have told us if he only had a single lung.

So the good news in that Riley has a heart and lungs.  To me they looked appropriately white and blobby, but we should get the full report on Friday.
