Random Items, Vol 1

  1. Did you know that in California one can buy fireworks in the grocery store? I've just gotten over the fact that you can buy whiskey at the pharmacy and now this...

  2. Unlike New England, pretty much all of the house here have garages.  But since the weather is so nice here, people often park in their driveways and use the garage for storage (we do this).  But the cool things is that when the garages are open, you get this peek into other peoples lives.  And some people are total pack rats.

  3. I've been biking the kids to the Y to take Megan to swim lessons.  It is a way to combine exercise, environmentalism, and economy all in one action.  But on the way there is a low grade incline, so our caravan is a little slow.  This does not please Megan; she contantly, constantly asks me, "Why aren't you going faster? I think you should go faster.  That other bike is going faster..."  Bryan and I joke that we should get her a little whip.

Darling girl, I've seen fireworks in Stop & Shop in Ridgefield and today in Stew Leonards. We'll have to take the children there for a field trip -- it just get wilder and wilder.
