What if Firefighters Ran the World?

I know usually it is Bryan who has all the funny links, but I wanted to share this.

We see very few commercials at out house thanks to our DVR, but I saw this one a few weeks ago and it cracks me up every time I happen to see it. More than that - it actually pops into my head at random moments and makes me smile.

Which is truly amazing, because I hate, hate, hate click-to-talk. The chirp that the phones make when they are "talking" sets me on edge, like finger nails on a blackboard.

When we lived in NY, it seemed like all our neighbors had the click-to-talk phones and used them frequently. They could be a block away and the stupid chirp would travel like a sneeze in a canyon;I was never safe from it. I used to wish that someone in power would ban the feature or that Nextel would disappear from the planet in a fiery financial meltdown.

But I seriously love this commercial. I want to give all of those fireman a hug and buy them and their phones a sandwich. The power of advertising is amazing, and I am so glad that we take part in as little of it as possible.

Funny that it stuck in your mind like that. I saw it and thought it was cute but it didn't have the same impact and I never knew what the product was...
