Firehouse Breakfast

To celebrate Bryan's return, we took the kids to the annual Firehouse Pancake Breakfast. In addition to being able to eat pancakes made by real firefighters, we also promised a ride around the block in a fire engine.

But sadly, as we got to the front of the line for our ride in the fire engine, the firefighters were told that they also had to abide California's child seat laws - so no kids under 6(years) or 60 (pounds). So we got out of line. Just as we were leaving we ran into the family who was in line behind us. Apparently just after we were booted, the firefighters reversed their 6/60 policy.

We are fairly certain that we were the only people to miss out on the engine ride.
