Raphen and Jiaying came over with Kamina (who wore Megan's old bumblebee costume) to go trick-or-treating with us. Although at 17 months, Kamina didn't quite trick-or-treating. After a few houses they went back to our place to hand out candy.
Riley loved trick-or-treating. At every house, he would walk up to the door by himself, say "tickerteat" pick a candy and say thank you, with minimal prompting. Megan, on the other hand, almost never remembered to say thank you.
Bryan and I lasted about an hour and then we made the kids wrap it up, much to the children's distress. Given the amount of wailing, you would have thought that their lives depended on trick-or-treating until the sun rose.
But once we got home they were happy enough to be there. After consuming a couple of pieces of candy, they switched over to passing out candy at the door.
Riley sat by the bowl and Megan did an elaborate show on the porch to attract the trick-or-treaters to our house. The teenagers who were out and about at that time of night where enchanted.
All-in-all it was a fun night.
