Glucose Screen

I did my early glucose screening this morning.  I'm really hoping that it is negative and I don't have to repeat it later in the pregnancy.

I almost threw up while drinking the glucose drink (it tastes like extremely sweet, slightly flat soda).  But I managed to keep it down, because I really didn't want to drink it again. However, when I got to the lab I discovered that I had left my paper work at home.  I panicked.  I barely got the drink down this time, I really didn't want to have to drink another one.

The lab wasn't able to reprint my paperwork, because my OB hadn't updated my chart with the lab request.  So Bryan had to throw the kids in the car and drop it off.  He made it with 4 minutes to spare (blood had to be drawn an hour after you drink in order to get accurate results).  I was so relieved.

I should get the results in a few days.  I'm really hoping I passed, because I don't want to have to do the three hour test.
