Megan came into my room at 3 am to sleep with me because she had a bad dream. And then Riley woke up at 5 am and never fell back asleep. And on top of that, I never sleep well when Bryan is away. It has only been two days and I am so tired, it physically hurts.
I had planned to take the kids to the Children's Discovery Museum this morning. I was thinking that we would be there when it opened and stay as long as Riley could manage. But I forgot that it doesn't open until 11 am on Sundays. Given Riley's early wake time, it didn't seem worth the trip. And since he took a long nap, there wasn't enough time to go in the afternoon either.
So we stayed home all day, not doing much of anything. Which was about as much as I could handle. Probably the most exciting thing that happened today was having pancakes for dinner. Oh, and a video chat with Bryan and his parents.
Tomorrow Megan gets to go back to school. (She told me yesterday that she doesn't like the weekends, because it means she doesn't get to see her teacher. Her preference would be to go to school every day.) Which means that the two hardest days are over. I just have to get to Friday and Bryan will be home.
