We had a very quiet day as a family today (especially compared to the festivities on Saturday). She opened gifts from her brothers and her parents in the mornings. I hide them around the house, the way my mother did for me and my sibs when we were little.
Gavin gave her a My Name Drink Bottle (only the one she got is pink with a different pattern), and Riley gave her a watering can and some Hello Kitty sticky notes. Bryan gave her her very own hearing protection ear muffs, for when they work on project together and an LED flashlight. And I gave her an EasyBake Oven and some mixes for us to make together.
And then we stayed home for most of the day. By Megan's choice.
Bryan and I offered her several fun outings, but what Megan wanted to do do most of all was stay home and play with her presents. So she spent a lot on time on the front yard, watering plants. And we busted out the EasyBake oven and she made her own birthday cake.
We also swung by our neighborhood pool so the kids and Bryan could swim a little. Gavin and I watched from the shade. And then we took her out to dinner at Denny's. She had a really wonderful day.
