Gavin got a blood draw in the lab (and his bilirubin count was reassuringly low risk) and then we took him up to the office to get a weight-check.
He was down to 6 lbs 8 oz, which means he has officially lost 10% of his birth weight. Dr. K. wants us to come in again today for another check. If Gavin didn't maintain his weight over night, we will need to start supplementing his feedings for a few days. I hadn't planned to start pumping so soon (and need make sure that I still have all the parts for my pump) but the kids are looking forward to being able to feed their baby brother.
It is a little odd having such a small baby this time around. We had to go buy Gavin smaller diapers on Monday, because the size 1 diapers we had were too big. And we are heading out to the store this morning to get him a couple of sleepers because the 0-3 months clothes (that Riley barely got to wear) are huge on Gavin.
